Facilitating Intel Elements Courses in North Carolina

Are your teachers clamoring for professional development that empowers them to integrate technology effectively into their existing curriculum while focusing on their students' problem solving, critical thinking and collaboration skills? We are looking for professional development leads in schools and districts across North Carolina that are interested in facilitating courses that explore 21st century learning concepts such as project based approaches, blended learning, collaboration and assessment in 21st century classrooms. Do you already deliver professional development in your LEA or Charter? Are you experienced in teaching in an online environment? If so, we are looking for you!

There are several options available for schools or districts interested in the Intel Elements Courses.
  1. Your school or district can apply for a license to host Elements courses on your existing Learning Management System or education portal. A facilitator toolkit is available to assist in the delivery of these courses.
    1. NC has a license in place that covers these courses in our Home Base PD System (NCEES). This license will also cover a district that has their own instance of Moodle (office) within the Home Base PD System.
  2. A trained online facilitator can deliver a course through the state's Home Base PD System. We can work with your school or district to tailor the training to meet your needs (blended or fully online).
    1. If you are interested in participating in an online Elements course, complete the following survey. Please note we need at least 15 interested participants to open a class. Once that number has been reached, a course will be made available in the Home Base PD System where you can review the course start date and register for the course.
  3. Each course can be launched directly through Intel's website and be taken independently.
